JACKSON or GOFORTH CEMETERY

by Janet Hawley: djhawley@grm.net

This is a working copy of an unfinished book. The goal is to record many more burials, those in unmarked graves or where the stone has been lost. Please send me an e-mail with notes, corrections or any burials that are not listed here. Give me as much information as to names and dates as you can so that I can check for further data. I would ultimately like to find obits or other information for all the burials. If you know of a specific date of a death that is listed as just a year on the stone, please give me the date, so I can find it in the newspaper.

From Barnard go east approximately 1-½ miles and turn south on Lantern Rd. The cemetery is about ¼ mile south of 390th St. on the east side of Lantern Rd, back in the timber about 200 yards. It is overgrown with trees and brush and many stones are broken.
