Ruby Lynn Kivett was born Aug 23, 1897 near Hopkins, Mo and died Apr 19, 1959. Buried Hopkins Cemetery. Parents George Kivett and Mary C. Slaughter. It is marked that she was divorced which probably explains why Ross is not buried with the family. You can look at this death record on the Missouri Archives http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/

Ruby and D. Ross Garten of Hopkins were married Dec 24, 1913 at the home of the bride's mother at Hopkins by D.W. Griffith Baptist minister. The marriage says "Mary Kivett mother of said Ruby L. Livett gives written assent to said married" since Ruby was under the age of 18.

Next door to George and Mary on the 1860 census were his parents, Edgecome Slaughter age 71 born Frankfort, Ky and Fanny Slaughter age 62, born Pa. They are buried in White Oak Cemetery and have tombstones. Mary Carolyn Slaughter Kivett's obit says she was buried in White Oak Cem. There seem to be a number of burials of this family in White Oak without any tombstones.
