Mrs Charles L. Finley Dies; Funeral Thursday

Mrs Charles L. Finley, the former Miss Virginia Lucas of Maryville and daughter of Mr and Mrs George Lucas, now living at Parnell, died at 11 o'clock yesterday morning in a hospital at Albuquerque, N.M., after being stricken with a heart attack while en route to her home at Socorro, N.M.

Mrs Finley had visited her parents the greater part of the summer and left for her home two weeks ago Saturday. She became ill on the train while traveling through the mountains. Having suffered of a heart ailment for several years, her condition had been more serious the last three years.

The body will arrive in Maryville tomorrow. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the First Methodist church. Burial will be in the Swinford cemetery, southeast of Maryville.

Virginia Reeves Lucas was born April 13, 1913, at Maryville and lived here all of her life until her marriage to Mr Finley, which took place July 13, 1935, at Fort Peck, Mont. The last four years she had lived in New Mexico.

Mrs Finley was graduated from the Maryville high school and attended Maryville STC. She also attended Dennison university at Granville, Ohio, one year.

She had been a member of the Methodist church since 11 years of age.

Surviving are the husband; her parents and one sister, Mrs William T. Utter of Granville, Ohio, who will arrive tomorrow.
