Mrs Bertha Miller, 85, Denver, Colo., formerly of Parnell, died at 10:45 a.m. Monday at a hospital in Blackwell, Ok. Mrs Miller, who had been visiting her son, Ray Miller, Blackwell, had been ill since Christmas and had been in the hospital two days.
She was born May 12, 1886, at Parnell, the daughter of the late James C. and Nina Miror Lucas Dixon. On Jan 31, 1915, she was married at St Joseph to Emmett Miller, who preceded her in death Nov 6, 1953. She was a member of the Parnell United Methdoist Church.
Besides her son, she is surived by a daughter, Mrs Lee Willimetz, Kansas City; a sister, Mrs Gertrude Young, Denver, Colo; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Price Funeral Home, Dr Val B. Strader will officiate. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Parnell. The family will meet friends from 7:30 to 8:30 o'clock tonight at the funeral home. |
