Taylor, Alva L. – Alva L. Taylor, 76, Kansas City, Ks, died Tuesday, June 30, 1992, at Shawnee Mission [Mo] Medical Center.

Mr Taylor was born near Cowgill, Mo., and he attended Liberty Eagle and New York Consolidated High School. He moved his mother to Kansas City, KS, in 1946, at which time he entered the Army during World War II and was stationed in Europe. He worked for the General Motors Fairfax assembly plant in the inspection department for 31 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the Retirees Club and Local 31 of the United Auto Workers and of the Southern Baptist Church of Kansas City, KS.

His wife, Bonnie, preceded him in death in 1988.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, betty Finch, Sunrise Beach, Mo; a brother, Wilbur (Web), Claycomo, Mo; two sisters, Cecile Routh and Myrtle Clark, Kansas City, KS; three stepgrandsons and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

The funeral was July 3 at Porter Chapel. Burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery. The Ft Leavenworth Honor Guard served as pallbearers.

Taylor, Dale B. – Dale B. Taylor, 74, of Bethany, Mo., died January 9, 1993 at a Leavenworth, Kansas hospital.

He was born in Harrison County [Mo] on February 25, 1918, and lived in Bethany all his life. He was a retired farmer.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

On June 2, 1962, he married Josie Swartz in Trenton, Mo.

Survivors include his wife of the home; three step-daughters, Mary Lewis and Lucile McClure, Bethany; Doris Neimann, Chicago, Ill.; four step-sons, Robert Swartz, Winston, Mo; Wayne Buzzard, Keosauqua, Ia; Jim Buzzard, Vinita, Ok; Larry Buzzard, Trenton, Mo; seventeen step-grandchildren; 14 step-great grandchildren; and 2 step-great, great grandchildren.

Templeton, Ernest – Word was received from Kansas City this morning of the death of Ernest Templeton, son of Dr and Mrs Nelson W. Templeton, who was killed in a street car collision.

Mr Templeton, who was 25 years old, was driving a taxicab for the Shaw Taxicab company. His car collided with a street car, killing him instantly. The boy was taken to the morgue of a Kansas City undertaker, where an inquest was held this afternoon. The body will arrive in Maryville this evening. Thomas, Milton Herbert, 82, of Maryville, passed from this life on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at his home.

Born on December 15, 1924 in Jefferson County, NE he was the son of the late Paul & Katherin (Tasche) Thomas.

He was a Veteran serving in the US Army. He was of the Protestant Faith. He worked most of his life as a farmer.

He is the last surviving relative of his family.

Thompson, Fern Irene Williamson - Fern Irene Thompson, daughter of the late Alonzo and Celia Ann Rutledge Williamson, was born February 19, 1899 at Bedford, Iowa, and died May 17, 1991 at age 92 in West Plains, Missouri. She received her education in the school at Bedford, Iowa.

May 5, 1915, she was united in marriage to Riley Kenton Thompson, Hopkins, Missouri.

She is survived by five children, Celia Sparks (Des Moines, Iowa), Norma Wray (Maryville), Harley Thompson, Milton, Florida; Maurine Itock [sic, Ipock] (West Plaines) and Mary Provins (Little Rock, California); 22 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 6 step great grandchildren, 3 great, great, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenton Thompson who died March 8, 1959; 6 children; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild, eight brothers and sisters. Mrs Thompson was the last member of her immediate family.

She was a member and former leader of Dorcus at Hot Springs and West Plains. She was also a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church at West Plains.

Thompson, Frances Elizabeth - Mrs Frances Thompson Dies in St Joseph Hospital - Mrs Frances Elizabeth Thompson of Maryville, 55 years of age, died last night in a St Joseph hospital. She was the mother of Erwin Thompson of Hopkins.

The body was taken to Bedford, Ia., today. Funeral arrangements have not been made although it is probable that burial will be at Hopkins.

Mrs Thompson is survived by another son, Robert Thompson of Bedford; a brother, Otto Kearse, Whittier, Calif., and her step-father, W.C. Holden, Council Bluffs.

Tilson, Billy French, 72, Topeka, Kan, formerly of the Maryville area, died Sunday, Sept 15, 1996. Born June 27, 1924 in Maryville, to Harry and Lois Carter Tilson, he had worked until 1994 as a toll collector for the Kansas Turnpike Association.

He married Clarice Schooler, Aug 17, 1945 in Portsmouth, Va.

Mr Tilson was a 1941 graduate of Maryville High School and attended Northwest Missouri State College. He served in the US Navy on board the aircraft carrier Bunker Hill in the south Pacific, during World War II. He was a member of the Navy Band; St Philip's Episcopal Church; life member of the V.F.W. Post 1650; and life member of the Masonic Lodge 158 of Atchison, Kan. He was a postal employee for severa years and retired as a maintenance carpenter from Washburn University in 1989; followed by working for the Kansas Turnpike Association and retiring in 1994. He was a volunteer cancer driver and volunteer for the retired and senior volunteer program.

Survivors include his wife, Clarice, of Topeka,Kan; one son, the Rev Alan R. Tilson of Topeka; two daughter, Cindy Rogers of Topeka, and Dr Nancy Tilson Mallett M.D. F.A.C.P. of Westwood Hills, Kan; and seven grandchildren.

The body will be cremated.

A Memorial service will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, Sept 18, at the Chapel at the Topeka Veterans Administration Hospital in Topeka, Kan.

Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka.

Tilson, Harry R., 83, Maryville, retired service station operator, died at 3 am today at St Francis Hospital, where he had been a patient since Monday.

Born April 25, 1897, at Barnard, the son of the late William R. and Nancy Hager Tilson, he was married June 23, 1916, at Yates Center, Kan., to Lois Carter, who survives.

A former resident here, he had lived at Sabetha, Kan., 20 years prior to returning two years ago. He was a member of the Maryville First Christian church, the Masonic Lodge of which he was a past master, and Order of the Eastern Star of which he was a past worthy patron, both of Sabetha; and a life member of the Scottish Rite, Topeka, Kan.

Besides his wife of the home, he is survived by one son, Billy F. Tilson, Topeka; one daughter, Betty Baird, Maryville; seven grandchildren, David, Betsy and Jim baird, Maryville [Missouri]; Mrs Ronnie Miller, Clyde [Missouri]; Mrs Kenneth (Cindy) Conklin, Topeka [Kansas]; Alan R. Tilson, Salina [Kansas]; and Dr Nancy Tilson Mallett, Harrisburg, Pa; and five great-grandchildren.

Townsend, Justin Lewis - Justin Lewis Townsend, 29, Maryville, died Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.
He was born February 8, 1980, in Maryville, the son of Don L. Townsend and Karen Sue Bailey. A graduate of Bedford Community High School in Bedford, IA, Mr. Townsend was a team member in assembly at Kawasaki in Maryville.
A generous fellow, he wanted to help anyone that needed help, unselfishly putting their needs ahead of his own. With that in mind, he became an organ donor.
Mr. Townsend was preceded in death by his twin sister: April Nicole Townsend and his grandfathers: Carmie Bailey and Darwin Townsend.
He is survived by his father: Don L. E. U. Trosper.   74 years of age died at 5 o'clock this morning at the home of his daugnter. Mrs.Lyman Mclntyre, in Burlington Junction. He had been ill about, a month and had suffered two paralytic strokes recently.

Trueblood, Lowell Dean, age 48, of Tarkio, Missouri, passed away Monday night, August 14, 2006 at Community Hospital, Fairfax, Missouri. He was born June 30, 1958, at Elmo, Missouri, to Ralph "Buthch" and Alene (Carpenter) Trueblood and has resided at Park Place Group Home, Tarkio, Missouri. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Burlington Junction, Missouri; served on the board of directors for the group home and enjoyed the Special Olympics.
He is survived by his mother, Alene Trueblood of Burlington Junction, Missouri; three brothers, Charles Burson, Oconto, Wisconsin, Stephen Trueblood of St. Joseph, Missouri and Kevin Trueblood of Marengo, Iowa; a sister, Jolene Carder of Tarkio, Missouri; fifteen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his fathers, Ralph in 1995 and his grandparents.

Trumbull, Julia Allen – Julia Allen was born in Edgar Co., Ills., in 1855 and in her early girlhood moved with her parents to Nodaway Co, Mo., where she lived until 1884, when she was married to H.H. Trumbull and moved with him to Marshalltown, Ia. In 1889 they came to Clarinda [Iowa], where they have since resided.

To them were born six children, three girls and three boys, viz: Ida May, Lulu, Etta, Roscoe Deane, Earl and Jeanette. Mrs Trumbull has been in feeble health the greater part of the summer, but has been up about the house until about five or six weeks ago. On Dec 12, at 3:30 pm, she was operated on for tumor and seemed to come through the ordeal in safety, but on Dec 26, a change for the worse took place and on Dec 29, at 3 pm, she passed into the “dreamless sleep” which men call death.

Besides her husband and children she leaves an aged mother, two brothers and one sister, who reside in Nodaway county, Mo. Funeral services were held at the old home east of Maryville, Mo., on January 1, at 2 pm, and burial took place there.

The Modern Woodmen took a prominent part and rendered appreciative service. In this trouble Mr Trumbull and his motherless children have the deepest sympathy of the public.
