Whipple, Maxine Florea - Maxine Mae Whipple, 85, Hopkins, died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.
She was born November 28, 1923, in Gaynor, the daughter of Brice and Lela Buzzard Florea. She was a 1941 graduate of Hopkins High School.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, June 2, at Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville. Burial was in White Oak Cemetery, Pickering.

He was born February 18, 1991, in Fairfax.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 6, at the Nodaway-Holt High School Gymnasium, with burial at New Liberty Cemetery, Mound City.

Wilson, L. Wayne - L. Wayne Wilson, 77, Maryville, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.
Services will be at 10 am, Saturday, May 23, at Price Funeral Home, Maryville. Private burial services for the family will be held after the services at Miriam Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-8 pm, Friday, May 22, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.

Woods, Paul W., 85, Fillmore [Missouri], died Saturday, Dec 31, 1994, at Heartland East Hospital, St Joseph [Missouri].

Born Aug 17, 1909, in Maryville to Marion I. and Ollie G. Mozingo Woods, he had worked as a green house worked for Stuppy's Floral Shop in St Joseph.

Mr Woods attended school in the Maryville area. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Dick Munkres American Legion Post 287 in Savannah.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation is currently under way at Price Funeral Home, Maryville.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, with the Rev Robert Cepperley officiating.

Burial will be in Miriam Cemetery, Maryville.

Werline, Robert John, Jr., 33, Platte City, died Jul 30, 1991, in Platte County. He was born in Leavenworth and lived in Platte County most of his life. Mr Werline was a laborer for E.H. Hall Contractors Inc. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Werline, and a son, Jonathan Trevor Werline, both of Camden Point in Platte County; a daughter, Michelle Tate, Riverside; his parents, Robert J. and Virginia Werline, and a brother, Bill Werline, all of Platte City; a siser, Tina Marie Rusk, and his paternal grandfather, Jackson Werline, both of Kansas City. Graveside services were Friday at the Platte City Cemetery, Platte County.

Triple Funeral Rites Wednesday
Erma Weathermon Third to Die of Injuries in Accident Near Guilford

The death of Erma Weathermon of Guilford, who suffered injuries in an automobile accident east of Guilford Saturday afternoon, occurred at 9:55 o'clock this morning at the St Francis hospital.

Also fatally injuried in the collision were Mr Weathermon's mother, Mrs Leona Ann Weathermon, age 77, and his sister, Miss Eunice Weathermon, 56 years of age, who died a few hours after the accident. The three lived on a farm southeast of Guilford.

All of the victims suffered multiple injuries, including bone fractures, concussions, lacerations and bruises.

Mrs Weathermon was born at Guilford April 4, 1863, and had lived there all of her life. Her husband was Abe Weathermon, who died over forty years ago. The son and daughter were also born at Guilford, the son on November 26, 1886, and the daughter on June 2, 1884. They were all members of the Guilford Methodist church.

Funeral is Wednesday

Mrs Weathermon is survived by two daughters, Mrs Hugh Ellis of Guilford and Mrs P.B. Skidmore of Detroit, Mich; a brother Marion Hawk of Beattie, Kas and a sister, Mrs J.L. Thompson, Guilford. Mr and Mrs Skidmore and Mr Hawk are here for the funeral.

Funeral services for the three will be held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Guilford Methodist church, conducted by Rev W.C. Whitehouse of King City. Burial will be in the Weathermon cemetery, near Guilford.

The bodies will lie in state at the church from 12 until 2 o'clock tomorrow.
