Richard Alexander funeral Wednesday

Funeral services for Richard M. [errill] Alexander, 41, of Shambaugh, will be at 10:30 am, Wednesday at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 7-8 pm, Tuesday evening.

Alexander died this Monday morning at Municipal Hospital.

He was born Dec. 18, 1942 at Maryville, Mo, the son of Ossian Galen and Edith Helene Peery Alexander.

After the death of his parents he made his home with his aunt and family, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kent of Elmo, Mo.

He is survived by his wife Sherry M. Parker Alexander who he married June 5, 1964, and one son Rocky Aeron Alexander of the home. Sisters are Mrs. Charles (Hilda) Benge of St. Joseph, Mo, and Mrs. John (Nancy) Fagan of Omaha, Ne. Galen Alexander of Lupton City, Tn, is a brother. Also surviving are nieces and nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Burial will be in High Prairie Cemetery west of Elmo.

Alexander was a member of the Shambaugh City Council, which hosted a fund-raiser supper for him last Saturday night.

Obituary

Died, at the residence of N. [athaniel] Orme, May 14, ’95, Mrs. Mary [Mahala] E.[lizabeth Burch] Carmichael The subject of this sketch was born in Indiana December 4, 1828. She was married in 1846 to Augustin Carmichal [Carmichael], who died a number of years ago. To this union were born ten children, all of whom survive her. In 1866 she and her husband moved to Page County, Iowa, and three years later removed to Nodaway County, where she has since resided.

She became a member of the Baptist church in 1859 and lived a consistent life unto the day of her death. During her last illness she manifested the grace of patience. The funeral services were conducted by A. L. Cooper at the residence of her son-in-law, N. [athaniel] Orme.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

[Marriott, Jacob Michael]

Jacob Michael Marriott, 26, of Maryville, MO, and formerly of Southwest Iowa, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013, at the St. Francis Hospital in Maryville

Jacob was born in Clarinda, IA, on February 1, 1986. He was a 2004 graduate of the South Page High School, class of 2004. Jacob worked as a Sales Representative for Overland Sales, and also worked the past 8 years at United Producers Livestock, both of Maryville. He enjoyed roping and wrangling and had competed for many years on Ranch Rodeo Teams. He was a former 4-H member, FFA member, and the Two County Duster Team. He was of the Lutheran Faith.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marvin Lee Dunn and Sara Ann Carmichael; and his maternal uncle, Chuck Dunn.

Jacob is survived by his parents, father, Michael D. (Mike) Marriott, Braddyville, IA, and his mother, Dee Marriott, Maryville, MO. He is also survived by his sister, Samantha J. Marriott, Maryville, MO, his niece, Emma Vicker, Maryville, MO; his paternal grandparents, Gary and Connie Marriott, Clarinda, IA; numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 21, 2013, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The burial will be in the Shearer Cemetery, Braddyville, IA. Chaplain Josh Allee will be the minister for the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Sunday, January 20, 2013, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested in Jacobs name for a memorial to be determined and can be directed to the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, 206 E. South Hills Drive, Maryville, MO 64468.

Mrs. John W. [illiam] Shearer, living west of Hopkins, died last Saturday and was buried Sunday. She had been to St. Louis where an operation had been performed, but it left her too weak to recover. She was a very estimable lady.

Jake Stone Braddyville native

Funeral services for Ralph B. (Jake) Stone, 88, formerly of Braddyville will be held next Monday at 2 pm at the Price Funeral Home in Maryville with burial in the Prairie Home cemetery at Graham, Mo.

Mr. Stone died Oct. 3, 1984 at the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville, Ar.

He was born May 15, 1896 at Braddyville, the son of Joseph Richard and Lydia M. (Evelyn) Stone. He was a retired construction worker. He was a veteran of WWI, serving in the Army, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Christian Church and the American Legion post in Lenox.

He is survived by three nieces, Vivian Wilson of Maryville, Mabel Bachman of Hastings, Ne, and Maxine Buehler of Eldon, Mo; three nephews, Stanley Stone of Des Moines, Kenny Stone of Stanton and George Wolfe of Skidmore, Mo, and several great-nieces and nephews.

George Yaple funeral held

George D. [unlap] Yaple, 71 of rural Braddyville died Oct. 2, 1984 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha where he had been a patient for the past three weeks.

He was born March 24, 1913 at Clarinda, the son of Willard and Alpha Dunlap Yaple.

In 1940 he was married to Helen Yance who survives. Mr. and Mrs. Yaple have lived on a farm west of Braddyville.

He was a member of the Clarinda, Masonic Lodge and Braddyville United Methodist Church.

Besides his wife of the home he is survived by six children: Mary Yaple Brady of Brownsville, Tx; James Yaple of Burlington Junction, Mo; Jon Yaple of Clearmont, Mo; David Yaple of Braddyville, G. Warren Yaple of Ames, Ia, and Carol Yaple Butt of Clarinda. There are eight grandchildren, one niece and one nephew. John H. Yaple of Ashland, Or, is a brother.

Funeral services were held this Thursday morning at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home with Rev. Sara Malone officiating.

Burial was in the Braddyville cemetery.
