Palmer, Mavis Lester - MARYVILLE, Mo. — Mavis (Lester) Palmer, 81, of Maryville, Mo., died March 31, 2006 at her home. She was born June 17, 1924 in Sheridan, Mo.; the daughter of the late Levi Marshall and Flora Eva Stutesman Lester. Mavis was united in marriage to Orlie LaVelle Palmer, Aug. 13, 1939 in Rock Port, Mo. She was a night auditor for the former Wilson Motel and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, both of Maryville. Her survivors include: three sons, John Leslie Palmer, Maryville, Alan Wayne Palmer, Morton Wirral, United Kingdom, and James Mervin Colvin, Maryville; two brothers, Howard Brown, Sheridan, Mo., and Orren Lester, St. Louis, Mo.; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, William Marshall Palmer; three grandchildren; one sister, Ina Nally; and one brother, Orville Brown.
