Glenn Bloomfield, 72, formerly of Clarinda and College Springs, died June 2 at the Memphis, Mo, Memorial Hospital. Services were held Friday afternoon in Memphis with burial in Friendship Cemetery there.
Mr Bloomfield was married to Anne Gundy who worked at Swift and Co. He is survived by a son, Larry Bloomfield' of South English, la, a daughter, Christie McReynolds of Omaha, and a sister, Mrs Opal Bloomfield of Clarinda.
Tuesday services for Eugene McAlpin
Funeral services for Eugene McAlpin, 65, of Clarinda will be at 2 pm, Tuesday at Walker Funeral Home with Carl Cummings officiating.
The family will meet friends at the funeral home this Monday from 7-9 pm.
Mr McAlpin died Saturday night at Municipal Hospital where he had been admitted on Thursday.
He was born Feb 23,1911, near New Market, the son of Willie E and Effie Hancher McAlpin. He was married to Maxine Plowman on Oct 23,1929. They farmed until retirement in Clarinda.
Besides his wife of the home at 614 W Tarkio, Mr McAlpin is survived by one daughter, Mrs Ivan (Dorla) Johnson of Des Moines and two grandchildren. Dennis McAlpin of New Market is a half-brother. Sisters are Susanna Dougherty of Trentpn, Mo, and Normal Jean Brabson of Deming, N M. Half-sisters are Mrs Agatha Slaight and Mrs Ruby Holland of New Market. He was preceded in death by one grandchild, two half-brothers and two half-sisters.
Mr McAlpin was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Siam.

Eugene Austin McAlpin, son of Willie Eugene and Effie Hancher McAlpin, wa» born February 23, 1911, on a farm north of New Market, Taylor County, Iowa, and passed away at the Clarinda Municipal Hospital, June 5th, 1976, at the age of 65 years 3 months and 13 days.
On October 23, 1929, he was1 united in marriage to Maxine Plowman, and they are the parents of. one daughter, Dorla Gene (Mrs. Ivan Johnson) of Des Moines, Iowa.
His entire life was spent in Taylor County, with farming his main occupation, until five years ago he was forced to give up active labor, due to cancer, and in 1971 they moved.to Clarinda, Iowa where they have since resided. But, he faced the ensuing years with a fortitude that amazed his family and friends.
Eugene was a devoted father and husband; a good neighbor who was ready and willing to help when and where needed. '
His Church affiliations were with the United Methodist Church of New Market. He was a member of Plumb Lodge » 285 A. F. Er A. M. Highland Chapter # 523 Order of Eastern Star, both of Siam; and B.P.O.E. of Maryvilie, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grand child; two half sisters, Glocile (Mrs. Harvey Anderson) and Nettie (Mrs Worthy Werts) two half brothers, Earl and Russell McAlpin.
He is- survived by his wife, Maxine, and daughter Dorla e> her husband Ivan; two grandsons, Paul and Craig Johnson of Des Moines-, Iowa. Two sisters, Susanna (Mrs Floyd Dougherty) of Chula, Missouri; and Norma Jean (Mrs Marshall Brabson) of Deming, New Mexico; one half brother, Dennis McAlpin and two «half sisters. Ruby (Mrs Albert Holland) and Mrs Agatha Slaight all of New Market, Iowa. Many nieces and nephews, other relatives and a wide circle of friends.

MAYNARD NIEL THOMAS Maynard Niel Thomas was born Jan 2, 1905 and passed away June 9, 1976 at the Hand Community Hospital. On Sept 11, 1969 he was united in marriage to lola Walker and they have made their home at 401 So Center, Shenandoah.
He attended the
Lincoln Auto and tractor
school ini Lincoln. He was a mechanic and a
farmer. Was a carpenter and in the saw
sharpening trade at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife lola; a daughter,

KENNETH BARCLAY Kenneth LaVeme Barclay, son of Neil and Martha (Hurst) Barclay was born August 29 1937, at the farm home north of Elmo and departed this life May 31, 1976, at the age of 38. C (*-(<(fff %\J\
He attended the Elmo Christian Church and at an early age was baptized into Christ to remain a faithful Christian throughout his life.
Kenneth received his grade school education at the Mt Tabor School north of Elmo. He attended high school at College Springs Iowa. He wa,s a letterman on the football team and very active in FFA receiving in his senior year. Iowa State Farmer Degree, DeKalb Award. On graduation he 'received the Good Citizenship 'Award of the School.
Kenneth was very active in 4-H work being a 10 year member. He received many County, State and National Awards in livestock judging and represented the State of Missouri in the National Sheep Shearing contest at Chicago.
On July 28 1957 Kenneth was united in marriage to Geraldine Hagey of Burlington Jet, Mo. To this union was born^ children Marty Sue 18, and Richard LaVerne 15, both of the home. •
In October 1958 Kenneth purchased a farm near Clearmont where he resided until his death.
Kenneth was a professional sheep shearer along with his farming operation and in later years had been farming his fathers farm

As his children -grew up he became an active leader in the north Nodaway 4-H Club of Hopkins, Mo.
Upon moving to their home near Clearmont, Kenneth transferred his membership to the Clearmont Christian Church, where he remained an. active and faithful member until his death.
