Anderson, Frances, Mrs, wife of Carlos Anderson, living several miles north of Sheridan, died at her home Saturday, May 11, 1901, after a long continued illness of consumption during which she suffered a great deal. She was a daughter of Sam Cossins, north of town. She was a kind and loving mother, a dutiful wife, and was loved by all who knew her.

Although her death was not unexpected by the husband and relatives who had so tenderly cared for her during her sickness, and did all that human hands could to restore her to health, yet when Death crossed the threshold of her room and gave her the sad message that her time was no longer this side of the Great City, a terrible shock was thrown upon them, and were made to realize that a place in their home was made vacant which ne'er can be filled. But may they be comforted with the thought that this loved one has returned to Him who doeth all things well.

She leaves a husband, two children, father, step-mother, three sisters and two brothers and a host of friends to mourn her untimely departure.

The funeral services were conducted at 2:30 pm at the Christian church by Rev. M.S. Jameson, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Sheridan cemetery.
