Clara Barbara Lager, 62, Maryville, Missouri, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Parkdale Manor Care Center, Maryville.

She was born March 30, 1947 in Maryville, Missouri, the daughter of Alfred and Irene (Schwebach) Lager. Clara was a 1965 graduate of Ravenwood High School, Ravenwood, Missouri and had worked in the custodial department at NWMSU. She was a member of St Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Community, Maryville.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law: Jim Jackson.

Survivors include her sister: Joan Jackson, Ravenwood; brothers: Robert (Shirley) Lager, Grant City, Missouri; Ron (Maureen)and Marvin Lager, Maryville and Kermit (Mary Ann) Lager, Conception, Missouri; many nieces and nephews.

There will be a Family Rosary at 7pm, Monday, January 11, 2010 at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.

Visitation is 6-7 pm Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at St Columba Catholic Church, Conception Junction, Missouri with a Parish Rosary at 7pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Wednesday, January 13th at St Columba Catholic Church, Conception Junction with burial in St Columba Cemetery, Conception.

Lager, Harry -

Harry Lager, 82, Maryville, Missouri (formerly of Guilford, Missouri) died Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St Joseph, Missouri.

He was born January 18, 1925 in Clyde, Missouri the son of Joseph Frederick and Mary Magdeline (Stoll) Lager. A high school graduate Harry attended college and served in the US Army with the 101st Airborne Division during World War II.

On February 22, 1949 Harry married Mercedes Theresa Henggeler in Conception, Missouri. He was a retired farmer and maintenance man at Conception Abbey for many years.

A member of St Gregory Barbarigo Parish, Maryville, Missouri and formerly a member of St Columba Parish, Conception Junction, Missouri he was also member of the Tri C American Legion Post #464, Conception Junction.

Harry was preceded in death by two daughters: Lois Pierson in 1984 and Anita Lewis in 2002, his parents and five brothers: Vitus, Robert, Barney, Leonard and Joe Lager.

Survivors include his wife: Mercedes Lager, of their home; sons and daughters-in-law: Ed and Jody Lager, and Robert and LaRee Lager, all of Barnard, Missouri; daughters and sons-in-law: Jeanne Murray, Ashland, Missouri; Lori and Jeff Hayden, Platte City, Missouri and Patty and Pete Trull, Paola, Kansas; 18 grandchildren; 5 great- grand- children; brother and sisters: Mildred Arendziak, Chicago, Illinois; Sylvester Lager, St. Joseph, Missouri and Marge Juhl, Phoenix, Arizona; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 6-7pm Monday, December 3, 2007, at St. Columba Catholic Church, Conception Junction, with a prayer service at 7pm.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10am Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at St Columba Catholic Church, Conception Junction; Burial is in St Columba Cemetery, Conception, Missouri.

The Tri-C American Legion Post #464, Conception Junction will conduct Military Services at graveside.

Landess, Mildred May Bomar - Mildred May Landess, 96, Saint Joseph, Missouri, formerly Barnard, Missouri died Friday, March 28, 2008, at Arbor View Nursing Home in Saint Joseph.

She was born September 3, 1911, in Onawa, Iowa to Arthur and Mamie (Lance) Bomar.

She married her first husband, Willie "Bud" Landess on March 30, 1929. They divorced and he later passed away on December 17, 1968 in Maitland, Missouri. She married her second husband Homer Lee Landess in Oregon, Missouri on May 30, 1936. He passed away on August 1, 1980. On December 20, 2001, Mildred married Dewey Fickle in St. Joseph. He died November 2, 2003.

A homemaker, Mildred was a member of the United Methodist Church, Barnard.

She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Baby Mamie Ruth Landess and Lois Mildred Stump and two sisters, Sadie Naoma Hatcher and Lula Nevada Hatcher-Lee.

Survivors include four daughters, Doris Jean Hoy, Clearmont, Missouri, Daisy Marie Spurgin, Benton, Kansas, Lorry Lou Atkins, Clarinda, Iowa, and Patsy Lee Miller, Saint Joseph; two sons, Rollie Lee Landess, Wichita, Kansas and John Arthur Landess, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, her grandson she raised from infancy, Troy Lee Landess, twenty-eight grandchildren, eighty-five great-grandchildren, forty great-great grandchildren and three great-great-great-grandchildren.

The family will hold a formal visitation on Monday, March 31 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville, Missouri.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 2:00 PM also at Price Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, Fillmore, Missouri.

Lane, Marjorie Laurine Parker - Marjorie Laurine Parker was born March 25, 1933 at Mallard, Iowa to Lester Wesley Parker and Della Marie (Watkins) Parker, one of twelve children. She was born during the Depression years and her family moved from Mallard to New Market and onto Braddyville where her father was a blacksmith. She was married to James W. Lane October 8, 1950 and they moved to a farm near Clearmont, Missouri. In 1962 they bought their farm from the Kenagys and remained there until 1984 when they moved to Braddyville for a year and then to Clarinda.
Marjorie worked at the Mental Health Institute in Clarinda for 25 years and at the same time helped Jim on the farm and raised her three daughters: Mary, Carol Ann, and Susan. She enjoyed attending auctions and the antiques, working with her rental houses, flower gardening, country music, and traveling to visit friends and family. She was a strong, independent lady who was a fantastic mother that took care of her family. She was surrounded by her daughters when she passed away Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Heartland Medical Center, St. Joseph, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; and siblings Larry and Allan Parker, Mary Horn and Norene Randall.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters: Mary M. Underwood and husband Ron of Atchison, Kansas, Carol Ann Payne and husband Robert of Maryville, Missouri, and Susan Postle and husband Gordon of Leesburg, Virginia; grandchildren James Underwood and wife Chasity, Travis Payne and William Payne; great grandchildren Jaden, Alaina and Collin Underwood; siblings Duane Parker, Gary Parker, Leon Parker, Lester Parker, Burt Parker, Shirley McKinney, and Joyce Drummond; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home with Rev. Alvin Reed officiating. Interment will be at Clearmont Cemetery, Clearmont, Missouri. Family visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.

Langhammer, Mary Claudia, Sister, OSB - Sr. May Claudia Langhammer OSB, 94, of Clyde, Missouri died Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Our Lady of Rickenbach Care Center, Clyde.

She was born May 30, 1913 in Leonard Missouri the daughter of William Joseph and Rebecca Cecelia (Peoples) Langhammer.

Sr. Claudia entered the Benedictine Convent on July 11, 1931 and made her final profession on February 5, 1938. She worked at the Convent all her life, helping on the farm and with household tasks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include her Monastic family, a sister: Mrs. Teresa Cheatum, Florissant, Missouri; a brother: Jerome Langhammer, Shelbina, Missouri; nieces, nephews and their families.

On Sunday, March 30, 7:00 PM a Prayer Vigil Service will be held in the Community Chapter Room at the Convent in Clyde.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday March 31, 7:30 AM in the Convent Adoration Chapel, Clyde.

Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

 

Langley, Etta Mae Dougan - Etta Mae Langley, 69, Maryville, Missouri died on Friday, April 17, 2009, in Maryville.

Born April 9, 1940 in Barnard, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Thelma Tompkins Dougan. She was a 1958 graduate of Horace Mann High School. Maryville.

On February 24, 1961, Etta Mae married Loren Dean "Shorty" Langley in Maryville. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1999.

She was a member of the Barnard Church of Christ.

A babysitter for many years, she had also worked at the Little Duffer and Artic Circle, Maryville.

Surviving are son, Harold (Mary) Langley, Maryville; daughter, Sandra (Todd) Davison, Hopkins, Missouri; grandchildren: Harold Dean Langley Jr., Benjamin Dougan Langley, Alisha Lauren Davison and Tanner Riley Davison; sisters: Betty Cooksey, Lake Viking, Missouri, Kerlin Davis and Ruth Bailey, both of Maryville and Susie Strauch, Barnard, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends with a visitation on Monday April 20th from 7:00-8:00 pm, Price Funeral Home, Maryville.

Graveside Services and Burial will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 21st at Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville.

Larabee, Eula Marie Massengale - Eula Marie Massengale Larabee 85, Clearmont died Sunday, February 28, 2010, at St.Francis Hospital, Maryville, Missouri.

She was born April 8, 1924 near Graham, Missouri, the daughter of Charles William and Elizabeth (Rauch) Massengale. Eula graduated from Graham High School in the class of 1942. She married Eldon Elbert Larabee, January 30, 1946 in Hiawatha, Kansas.

A homemaker, she was a member of the Hopkins First Christian Church and Christian Women’s Fellowship, Hopkins; the American Legion Auxiliaries in Braddyville, Iowa and Burlington Junction, Missouri; North Nodaway Band Parents; Helping Hands Club and many neighborhood clubs. Eula also served as an Election Judge in Clearmont for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Eldon Larabee on November 8, 2001; a daughter: Janice Marie Ellen Larabee; her parents; brothers: John and Denzil Massengale and great-granddaughter: Briley Hull.

Mrs. Larabee is survived by her children: Linda (Allen) Davison, Maryville; Sherry (Joel) Rybolt, Ft Gibson, Oklahoma; Eldon Lee (Elaine) Burlington Junction, Missouri; Kenneth Larabee and his fiancé, Debbie Valencia, St Joseph, Missouri and Philip (Lora) Larabee, Pickering, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Larson, Oscar John - Oscar John Larson, 88, of Omaha, Nebraska, died December 31, 2007 in his sleep at home in Omaha.

He was born December 9, 1919 in Lima, Peru, South America to Byron Albert and Soledad (Niegra) Larson. He married Verna Louise Atkins November 5, 1944 in Omaha. To this union were born two sons: Erick John Larson and Frederick Albert Larson.

Mr. Larson was a member of the Maitland, Missouri First Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death in March of 2007 by his wife of 62 years, Verna Louise (Atkins) Larson of Craig, Missouri, his parents: Byron Albert Larson and Soledad (Niegra) Larson; sister: Evelyn (Larson) (Henley) Hlavka; brothers: Byron (Barney) A. Larson II and Albert Larson; brothers-in-law: Ivan LaVerne Atkins, Carroll Ellsworth Atkins and Wayne Alloway; sisters-in-law: Ruth Alloway and Nellie Larson.

Doris Charmaine O’Riley Kling LaTempa (86) of Maryville, Missouri, died Friday, February 19, 2010, at the Golden Living Center, Maryville, Missouri.

Doris was born, March 16, 1923, in Maryville, the daughter of Joseph Alphonso and Mary Beatrice (Bagby) O’Riley.

A graduate of Skidmore High School in Skidmore, Missouri, Doris worked in retail sales for the JC Penney Company. She was a member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Community.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Joseph and Patrick O’Riley and sister: Joan
Carstens.

Survivors include her son: Patrick Kling, Platte City, Missouri; sisters: Virginia Allen, Maryville; Peggy Wilmes, Maryville and Carolyn Yocum, Pomm De Terrre, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. LaTempa’s body has been cremated.

Visitation is 10-11 am Saturday, February 27, 1020 at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, Maryville with a Memorial Mass following at 11 am.

J. B. Law, 85, Maryville, Missouri, died December 17, 2009, at his home in Maryville.

He was born August 26, 1924, in Grant City, Missouri to Willis Benjamin and Jesse Viola Hill Law.

A 1943 graduate of Maitland High School, J. B. served in the U.S.Navy during the World War II, reaching the rank of Coxswain.

J. B. married Betty Jo Gordon April 3, 1946, in Maryville.

He was a lineman for 38 years with the REA.

J. B. was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Past Commander and 60 year member of the James Edward Gray American Legion Post #100, Levi and Laces Dance Club, a former Boy Scout leader and Nodaway County Health Board member.

Preceding him in death: parents, brother Alfred Law, three sisters: Retha Sherlock, Alleta David, Velda David and daughter-in-law Pam Law.

Survivors include his wife Betty Law of the home, three sons:

Helen Marie Linebaugh, 88, Maryville, Missouri, died Thursday, August 28, 2008, at St Francis Hospital in Maryville.

Helen was born July 14, 1920, at Elmo, Missouri to James Pearson and Effie Florence(Archer) Richardson. Helen graduated from Elmo High School in 1938.

On Christmas Eve, December 24, 1939, Helen was united in marriage to Raymond Samuel Linebaugh, by Reverend James Campbell at his home.

Helen was a member of the Pickering United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years. She also served as a Delegate to the Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church held in Fayette, Missouri. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, the Sunrise Jolly Mixers Club and the Domino Group.

She was preceded in death by: husband of 63 years, March 5, 2003; her parents, brothers Elmer Richardson and Paul Kenneth Richardson, a sister Ethel Leona Richardson , an infant son Bobby Joe Linebaugh, and son in law David Judd.

She is survived by: daughters Juliana Rae Judd of Pickering, Missouri, and Joy Lyn Melvin and husband Rob of Algona, IA, eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, many nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of wonderful friends.

Linville, Harlen, 91, St. Joseph, formerly of rural Barnard, passed away Monday, April 20th, 2009 at La Verna Village in Savannah, MO.

Harlen was born January 19, 1918 in Graham, Missouri, son of Grover and Pearl (Sharp) Linville. He graduated from Graham High School in 1936. He married Dorothy Friend of Graham, MO on September 2, 1939. Dorothy passed away in May of 1984. In September of 1985 Harlen married Margaret Gaddy of Graham, at the Bethany Christian Church.

A farmer for most of his life, Harlen also worked at the Co-op in Maryville, and at the MFA in Barnard before he retired in 1983. He was an avid hunter, and raised coon dogs and fox hounds for many years. He was also a member of the Northwest Missouri Coon Hunters Association and served as president for 1 year.

He was a member of the Bethany Christian Church for over 60 years, and a 45 year member of the Graham Lions Club. He and Margaret served as Grand Marshalls of the Graham Street Fair in 2007.

Along with his parents and first wife, Harlen was preceded in death by his two brothers, George and Alfred (Short) Linville, and two sisters, Ruth Swartz and Neva Noblet.

Survivors include Margaret Linville of the home, son Larry Linville, and wife Martha of Lee's Summit, MO, daughter Linda Linville of Gladstone, MO, and daughter Kathy McPherson, and husband Brian of Burlington Junction, MO. Grandchildren Darla Linville of Salem, MA, Heather Linville of Baltimore, MD, David McGinness and wife Jacque of Amazonia, MO, Liz Hawman and husband Jason of WaKeeney, KS, Jennifer VanVactor and husband P.J. of Maryville, MO, Tami McGinness of Hayes, KS, Tim McPherson and wife Andrea of Glenwood, IA and Angie Lightner and husband Mike of Burlington Junction, MO, and 11 great grandchildren.

Linville, Marjorie Mae Euler -

Marjorie Mae Linville, 87, Maryville, Missouri, died Monday, July 28, 2008, at Nodaway Nursing Home, Maryville, Missouri.

She was born July 30, 1920, in Bendena, Kansas, the daughter of Arthur and Ada (Ratcliff) Euler. Marjorie graduated in 1938 from Skidmore High School. On December 21, 1940 she married Jack Ruddell Linville.

Mrs. Linville served as Office Manager for the USDA, Federal Crop Insurance office in Maryville during the late 1960’s. Membership affiliations included: the Skidmore Methodist Church, Eagles’ Auxiliary, BPW and various Extension and Garden Clubs in this area.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, on July 29, 1999, her parents and her sister, Doris Giffin.

Survivors include her children and their spouses: Larry and Barbara Linville, West Plains, Missouri; Alice and Bill Tanner, Maryville; Peggy and Ron Glassgow, Springfield, Missouri;
Joyce Jones, Ft Collins, Colorado; Bill and Lynda Linville, Lakeside, California; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be 10:30am Saturday, August 2, 2008 with
Visitation from 9:30 – 10:30 am, Price Funeral Home Chapel in Maryville, Missouri. Mrs. Linville’s body has been cremated, per her wishes and her cremated remains will be scattered after the service in a private family gathering.

Logan, James Lloyd -

James Lloyd Logan, formerly of Maryville, Missouri, passed away September 24, 2008, at St. Luke's South Hospital, Overland Park, Kansas.

Born in Parnell, Missouri, on March 21, 1916, to Joseph Theodore and Nellie David Logan, Lloyd married Opal Laughlin July 30, 1939, and fathered nine children. Survivors include his wife of the home, sons Robert (Lincoln, Nebraska) and wife Sally; Kenneth (Overland Park)and wife Dee; and Richard (Kansas City, Missouri); and daughters Barbara (Lawrence, Kansas); Linda (Overland Park); Nila (Olathe, Kansas); Pam (Springfield, Missouri) and husband Stewart; and Patti (Dubuque,Iowa) and husband Glenn. Fourteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lawrence Logan, sisters Alverda Koley, Zella Gagini, Retha Buick, and Lily Stinson; a daughter, Beverly, and four grandchildren.

Lloyd graduated from College High in Maryville. He farmed for many years on the former Homer Croy farm west of Maryville. He also owned the 502 Cab Company, Maryville, and worked at Crouch Brothers Trucking until his retirement in 1981. Lloyd was known for his enthusiasm for the St. Louis Cardinals and baseball in general, enjoying years as manager and coach of Ban Johnson and church league teams, in addition to working as an umpire at Northwest Missouri State Bearcat games. After retirement, he became an avid golfer. He continued to golf and to bowl even after he reached the age of 90.

A lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Maryville, Lloyd was also a member of the Elks Club, Lions Club, Maryville Country Club, Nodaway Farm Bureau and was a member and leader of the Nodaway County 4-H Club.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 27, at the First Methodist Church in Maryville. Visitation will be Friday evening, September 26, from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville. Burial: Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville

Imo Betty Long, 81, Graham, Missouri, died Saturday, January 17, 2009, at St Francis Hospital, Maryville, Missouri.

She was born March 28, 1927, in Graham, Missouri to Earl Ernest and Belle L. (Richey) Lowrance.

She married Verle Eugene Long on March 30, 1947, in Maryville.

Imo was a paraprofessional 22 years at Nodaway Holt R-VII Elementary School and was a member of Graham United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School. She was Cub Scout Leader, Den Mother, Girl Scout Leader, 4-H Leader, and a member of the Tri-C Nutrition Board.

She was preceeded in death by her parents and husband (October 5, 2000).

Survivors include daughters Diana Long, Graham, Debbie Wagoner, Clarinda, Iowa, son Verlin and wife Linda Long, Maitland, Missouri, twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, brother Gerald Lowrance, Farber, Missouri, sisters Beverly Haer, Oregon, Missouri, and Irma Graham, Kansas City, Missouri.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 20, 2009, Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville.

Loomis, Mildred Riley -

Mildred Riley Ledgerwood Loomis, 83, Maryville, Missouri died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at St Francis Hospital, Maryville.

She was born November 17, 1924 in rural Sheridan, Missouri, the daughter of Robert and Dixie Lou (Hanis) Riley. Mildred was a graduate of Sheridan High School, Sheridan, Missouri.

Mildred married Dewey Ledgerwood in Grant City, Missouri on November 30, 1942 and he preceded her in death in November 1955. She married Lee Loomis on February 1, 1958 in St Joseph, Missouri. Lee died January 1, 1968.

A homemaker, Mildred had worked in area nursing homes for 17 years. She was a member of the Ravenwood Christian Church, Ravenwood, Missouri and an American Red Cross Volunteer.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Patsy Ledgerwood; her parents, brothers: Merrill, Carl, Don, Robert and Glade Riley and sisters: Edna Davis, Maude Kobbee, Etta Mae Ray and Mary King and a granddaughter: Michele Renae Seipel.

Survivors include her children and their spouses: Ciecel and Rosemary Ledgerwood, Graham, Missouri; Linda and Bernie Sheffer, St Joseph, Missouri; Rick and Connie Loomis, Bolckow, Missouri; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 6-8pm Friday June 13, 2008 at Price Funeral Home, Maryville.

Funeral services are 10AM Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the Ravenwood Christian Church, Ravenwood, Missouri with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Parnell, Missouri

Louden, Shirley Jean McGinness -

Shirley Jean Louden, 75, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at her home in Barnard, Missouri.

She was born August 13, 1932, in Maryville, Missouri to Robert and Beulah (Mounts) McGinness and was a 1950 graduate of Horace Mann High School in Maryville.

Shirley married Marshall Couch in 1950. On February 14, 1973, she married Terry Louden in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A bookkeeper for McGinness Electric, she was a member of the First Christian Church, Maryville.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother Marlin McGinness and sisters Roberta Richey and Lois McGinness.

Survivors include her husband Terry Louden, Barnard; daughter Deborah Ann Haviland, Westminster, Colorado; step-son Brian Pielstick and step-daughter Shawn Rae Flamig, both of Grand Island, NE; grandson Matthew Haviland, granddaughter Kristin Zeidlik; four step-grandchildren; two great-granchildren Jack Zeidlik and Benjamin Haviland; brothers Kenneth McGinness, Olathe, Kansas and Bob McGinness, Maryville; sisters Beverly Goff, Tucson, Arizona, Virginia Beal, Mound City, Missouri and Doris Willsie, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM. Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville. A visition will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Luckert, Gerald John "Bud" - Gerald "Bud" Luckert, 77, died Monday, August 25, 2008 at his home in Maryville, Missouri.

Bud was born October 19, 1930 in Bloomfield, Nebraska, the son of Loal Carl and Minnie (Sass) Luckert. He served in the US Army in Korea. On September 22, 1952 Gerald married Madaline Mattern in Creighton, Nebraska.

A member of St Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Community, he had worked 30 years as a sales rep for Gehl Farm Equipment, retiring in 1991.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Marie Clothier, Lois Hahn, Ellen Schlecht and Noretta Asmus.

Survivors include his wife: Madaline, of their home; children: Lori Jasperson, Kansas City, Missouri; Luellen (Tom) Wilson, Maryville; Leanna Householder, Maryville; Lisa (Gregory) Welch, Parnell, Missouri; Libby (Corey) Cross, Hopkins, Missouri; Lon (Jill) Luckert, Brookfield, Missouri; 12 grandchildren: Clint and Dane Jasperson; T J, Jessica and Jennifer Wilson; Sean Householder, Aaron Luckert and Liz Welch; Makayla and Alonna Cross, Emily and Allyson Luckert; a sister: Alice (Frank) Mrsny, Wayne, Nebraska; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation is 6-7:30pm Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at St Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church with a prayer service at 7:30 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial is 11 am, Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at St Gregory's Catholic Church, with burial in St Mary's Cemetery, Maryville, Missouri.

Lyle, William J. -

William J. Lyle, 105, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at Shady Lawn, Savannah. Missouri. He was born at Barnard, Missouri June 19, 1903 to Clarence and Rachel Lyle. William was a member of the Bethany Christian Church, Barnard, Missouri.

He married Ermil Rasnice on May 3, 1924.

William was a farmer in Nodaway County until they moved to St. Joseph in 1957. He was a carpenter and also worked at the St. Joseph Stock Yards until retirement. They then moved to Savannah.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ermil, two sons, William Raymond, Forrest. and a daughter, Jean Livingston. Surviving children are Jack (Stella) Lyle, Barnard, Wayne (Katherine) Lyle, Brandon, MS, Clarice (Russell) Hemphill, Kansas City, Missouri, Jim Lyle and Joe (Mary Kay) Lyle, Savannah and twenty five Grandchildren and several Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM at the First Christian Church in Savannah on Friday, October 24. The family will receive friends at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM and again at the church one hour prior to the service.

Lynch, Daisy Marie Brandon - Daisy Marie Lynch, 90, of Maryville and formerly of Lamar, Missouri, passed from this life on Monday, June 8, 2009 at the Golden Living Center, Maryville.

Born on June 17, 1918 in Lamar, Missouri she was the daughter of the late Daniel Webster & Rachael (Allen) Brandon. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilson Lynch on December 23, 1980.

She was a member of the St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Maryville where she was a member of the St. Gregory's Church Guild and retired from the custodial department at Northwest Missouri State University.

She is survived by her loving children, Arlene (Lynch) O'Riley wife of the late Donald O'Riley, Maryville, Donald M. Lynch and wife Lila (Faris), Pickering, Virginia A. (Lynch) Keever, Maryville, Judy A. (Lynch) Gabbert wife of the late John W. Gabbert, Maryville, a brother, Raymond Brandon, Corning, IA, 10 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and five sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, June 15, 2009 at the St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, Maryville. Final Resting Place will be in the Quitman Cemetery, Quitman, Missouri. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday evening from 6:30 to 7:30 P.M. with a Prayer Service starting at 7:30 P.M.

Kathie Ann Lynch, 53, Maryville, Missouri, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at St Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.

She was born November 13, 1954 in Clarinda, Iowa, the daughter of Lowell and Reva (Jones) Kelley. A 1973 graduate of West Nodaway High School, Burlington Junction, Missouri, Kathie married Bob Lynch on March 22, 1980 in Maryville, Missouri.

She was a member of St Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Community and St Gregory’s Guild, Maryville. Kathie worked in Customer Service for Nodaway Valley Bank 24 years. She was a member of the Nodaway Valley Bank “Relay for Life” team and an avid Quilter.

Preceding her in death were her father: Lowell Kelley and sister: Janet Dow.
She is survived by her husband: Bob Lynch, of their home; son and daughter-in-law: Jonathon and Chas Lynch, Gallatin, Missouri; grandchildren: Kelli, Klayton and Mason Lynch; her mother: Reva Kelley, Clearmont, Missouri; sisters: Diana Hunt, Elmo, Missouri; Sandra Nold, Wathena, Kansas and Connie Nonneman, Allendale, Missouri; brother: Randy Kelley, Lee’s Summit, Missouri and many other relatives and friends.

Walter Leroy Lynch 88, of Bedford, Iowa died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at his home in rural Bedford.

He was born on May 16, 1919, the son of Harvey Leroy and Frances Rebecca (Scott) Lynch in Worth County, Missouri.

A farmer, Walter married Helen Aline Wolcott on December 7, 1940 in Grant City, Missouri.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Hopkins, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen on February 12, 2006, his parents; 4 brothers: Melvin, Paul, John Carter and Clifford Lynch; 2 sisters: Mable Luttrel and Lucille Findley.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Leroy and Rosemary Lynch, Bedford and
