ANDERSON
I am looking for any information on Louis ANDERSON and his wife Anna; they lived in the Maryville area from around the 1870's on. Louis came from Denmark. His brother James Christian ANDERSON came to this country with their widowed mother in the mid 1870's. Louis was still living after July of 1925. Would like any information about James BLACKABY who lived in Grant Twp. of Nodaway County. His wife was Martha ALLEN, daughter of John ALLEN and Margaret Barbara GRIMES. In May of 1880 James BLACKABY was charged with incest. Does anybody know the outcome of this? According to the "Nodaway Democrat" he purchased poison and ran from the law. BROOKS
I am looking for information on the parents of Amos Riley BROOKS, born 31 May 1849, in Maryville, Nodaway, MO. I am quite sure his father was Caleb BROOKS (b ca 1810, VT). Amos, his father and three brothers migrated west to California in 1852 according to Amos' obituary. There is no mention of his mother, leading me to think she may have died in childbirth or on the trail to California.

I am requesting information about the family of Francis CONLIN and Dorothy MALOTT. Francis Conlin, farmer and stock raiser, was born in Ireland, November 1, 1814, and emigrated to this country in 1835, settling in Dorset, Vermont, where he learned the stone cutters' trade, serving an apprenticeship of two years and a half. Eventually in October 1844, he moved to Nodaway Co. He married Miss Dorothy Jane MALOTT, of Platte County, Missouri, September 9, 1845. They had eight children: William T., Francis Marion, Sara A., John Floyd, Samuel Houstin, Margaret Ann, Eliza Fane, and Mary M. Dorothy died June 16, 1881. Their son Francis Marion Conlin b. February 22, 1848 in Barnard, Nodaway Co., MO, m. December 11, 1870 in Nodaway Co. to Sarah Elizabeth ROBISON b. February 8, 1850 in New Washington, Clark Co., IL d. November 21, 1931 in Barnard, Nodaway Co., MO. Francis and Sarah’s had six children, Cemmie Mable, Eli E., Flora, Nellie, Samuel Houstin and William. Their Daughter Clemmie Mable b. February 3, 1880 in Barnard, Nodaway Co., MO d. August 11, 1932 in Barnard, MO m. July 20, 1904 to Jesse James GROVES b. February 7, 1889 in Graham, Nodaway Co., MO d. I am interested in the family of Bill and Susan (JONES) PERSINGER who were living in Nodaway Co, MO in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Susan Persinger had previously been married to Hiram HENDERSON and they had one child, Andrew HENDERSON who was born in 1858. Susan was later married to Bill PERSINGER and they had three sons, John T. PERSINGER b. 1868, George B. PERSINGER b. 1873 and Charles PERSINGER b. 1876. SMITH, Minerva R. b. 1836 in IL - married to Josiah W. SMITH from Pickering, MO, NODAWAY CO. They lived in a big house at Pickering from around 1880-1910. Minerva died on Aug 7, 1905 at Pickering and her children were: George W. SMITH & his wife Francis, Samuel SMITH, wife Golda and son George T., Virginia SMITH m. Am looking for the ancestors of Anna S Walters born 29 Oct 1867; died 10 Oct 1894 in Pleasantville, IA. She married Peter B. Woods on 27 Dec 1886 in Graham, MO.
