MOORE
I have been looking for my gggrandfather for about two years.  He was born in 1844 in Missouri, probably Sullivan County.  His parents may have been Martin Moore and Martha Guthrie (may also be Margaret).  His parents died when he was young.  I have located him in Nodaway County in 1860.  He was with the Guthrie family (Samuel Guthrie & Ally McKay and children: Cordelia, Virgil, Laura,
Columbus) as well as Samuel's parents James Guthrie and Margaret Phelps)  There was also a Benjamin Moore, age 13, on the same census record.  This was probably a brother.  George remained in Nodaway County, MO until probably 1900 when he and his family moved to Sumner County, KS.  He married Talitha (Tabitha) Ferguson who died in 1878.  They had 2 children: Rosa & Perry.
George married Nancy Jane Hall in 1880.  They had five children: Everett, Clyde (my grandfather), Homer (died in infancy) Gomer and Florence.  According to George's death certificate, he was born on 9/17/1844 and died on 3/13/1918.  If anyone has any information that may assist me, please e-mail me:
